(5) The two heads of state commended their continued successful cooperation on major projects in infrastructure, transport, energy, manufacturing, aerospace, science and technology, and the continued implementation of the cooperation plan between the two governments on jointly advancing the Belt and Road Initiative. Both sides support the development of the China–Egypt Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone and cooperation between enterprises on renewable energy, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and localized manufacturing projects.
(6) Both sides agreed to further align the Belt and Road Initiative with Egypt Vision 2030, helping Egypt become a regional industrial, logistics, clean energy and digital economy hub connecting Asia, Africa and Europe. They will strengthen their partnership and encourage Chinese enterprises to draw on Egypt's competitive advantages and explore localized industrial cooperation in electric vehicles, shipbuilding, solar and wind power and other renewable energy, and seawater desalination. They will expand cooperation in high-technology fields including cloud computing, data centers, the digital economy, semiconductors, cybersecurity, aerospace applications and remote sensing, as well as critical mineral supply chains, agriculture and automotive manufacturing. In these fields they will strengthen human resource capacity building, exchange experience and technologies, and support Egypt's digital transformation and sustainable development.
(7) The two heads of state commended their existing financial cooperation, including Panda bond issuance and expanded local currency swap arrangements. They encouraged financial institutions in both countries to support industrial and development investment, infrastructure, and green and digital transformation projects. They welcomed the renewal and expansion of their bilateral local currency swap agreement.
(14) The two heads of state emphasized stronger political and security coordination on international and regional issues of common concern and expressed willingness to coordinate more closely in support of peace, stability and development. They stressed their adherence to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and international law, opposed double standards and unilateral actions, and called for reform of the international system and international financing institutions to make them fairer, more representative of developing countries and better able to address global challenges. They agreed to continue cooperation on climate change, food security, energy and the digital economy through the United Nations, BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, the G20 and other multilateral platforms. Egypt supports China's 2027 BRICS chairship and hosting of the nineteenth BRICS leaders' meeting, and appreciates China's initiatives to establish the International Organization for Mediation and the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization.
